Allison is a licensed speech pathologist and brain injury specialist. She received her Master’s degree from the University of Kentucky in 2017, after her own medical events sparked a desire for a career where she could empower others to advocate for their needs. She found a passion working with neurogenic populations and believes the foundation of a therapeutic partnership lies in person-centered and collaborative care with an emphasis on life participation. She believes holistic cognitive-communication goals should incorporate physical and emotional wellness and uses principles of mindfulness and movement in her therapy approach. Allison is also a Pure Barre instructor, has training in mindfulness and meditation, and is certified in Love Your Brain Yoga for health providers. At KPA, Allison is working with individuals with changes in: memory, attention/concentration, processing information, word-finding, self-regulation, and other cognitive-communication skills.
