Dr. Kuiper specializes in arthroscopic shoulder surgery, total and reverse total shoulder replacement, and the treatment of sports-related and automobile injuries to the knee, shoulder, and elbow.
Dr. Kuiper earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery internship, residency and fellowship at University of California San Diego, San Diego, CA.
Dr. Kuiper has extensive experience treating all shoulder problems including rotator cuff tears, labral tears, shoulder dislocations, and shoulder arthritis. He also specializes in arthroscopy of the knee and elbow for the treatment of athletic-related injuries.
He spent one year concentrating on advanced arthroscopic treatment of the knee, shoulder, and elbow while taking care of athletes from Auburn University, The University of Alabama, University of West Alabama, the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls.
Dr. Kuiper is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Kentucky Medical Society, and other national orthopedic and sports medicine societies. He has served as the onsite orthopedic consultant for several PGA Championships. He currently serves as team physician and orthopedist for St. Xavier High School and Sacred Heart Academy and is an orthopedic consultant for several local universities.
