Jason Lewis, M.D.
Dr. Lewis is certified by the American Board of Anesthesia in Anesthesia with a subspecialty certification in Pain Medicine and holds a Kentucky and Indiana Medical License. Dr. Lewis earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Louisville in 2004 and has since completed a General Surgery Internship, Anesthesia Residency, and a Pain Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Lewis is a Diplomat of the Board of Anesthesia, and member of American Society of Anesthesia, Kentucky Society of Anesthesia, American Medical Association, Greater Louisville Medical Society, and Kentucky Medical Association. He has worked as a faculty member at the University of Louisville’s Department of Anesthesia and as a Staff Physician/Pain Medicine Liaison at a major hospital. Dr. Lewis also has his private pilot’s license and is an FAA aviation medical examiner.
Lonnie R. Douglas, M.D.
Dr. Lonnie Douglas is an expert in personal injury Orthopaedic & Spine Consultations, Orthopaedic Surgeries, Narratives, IMEs, Depositions, and Expert Court Testimony. He is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Fellowship trained in Sports Medicine. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Louisville. After completing Residency at the University of Louisville in 2015, he was trained by Dr. James Andrews, the “surgeon to the stars,” treating professional and elite college athletes from all over the world. Dr. Douglas was then named Chief of Sports Medicine for University of Louisville Health leading them to reclaim the care of their own athletic programs in July of 2022 for the first time in 25 years. He has served as national advisor for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, team physician for the Washington Commanders, Washington Nationals, medical consultant for the New Orleans Saints, Baltimore Ravens, and the Tampa Bay Rays, Chief Medical Officer for the Kentucky Boxing Association and numerous high school and college teams across the country. Dr. Douglas is currently the Chief Medical Officer for Gladiator Combat Sports.
S. Kyle Young, M.D.
Dr. Young is Board Certified in the specialties of pain management and anesthesiology. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in microbiology in 2001 and obtained his M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia in 2005. While completing his residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY, he also served as Head of Medical Student Recruitment and was a member of the Resident Review Committee and Curriculum Committee. Dr. Young chose to continue his education and pursue a fellowship in pain management at the University of Louisville because of his desire to have an impact on his patients’ lives. The specialty of Interventional Pain Management affords Dr. Young the potential for long-term rewarding relationships with his patients. Prior to joining the Evansville community in 2012, Dr. Young was in private practice in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Young is licensed in both Kentucky and Indiana.
Angela Clater, MSN, APRN
Angela is an Adult Nurse Practitioner, board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Spalding University, a Master’s of Science in Nursing from South University. She has over 28 years’ experience in different fields from Emergency Medicine, to Home Health. She has extensive knowledge in rehabilitation, Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine, to include pain management in the adult patient.
TRACE KELLY, MSN, APRN, DC
Trace is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He is also a Doctor of Chiropractic and is licensed in Kentucky. Trace graduated from Logan University with a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2001, and continued his education and graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from Herzing University in 2020. He is also a certified Kentucky Chiropractic peer reviewer and was certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners as a Certified Independent Chiropractic Examiner. Trace’s work experience is as diverse as his education, and includes extensive physical rehabilitation knowledge, disability and impairment evaluation, Family Medicine, Pain Management, and he continues to pursue education and training related to integrative healthcare, regenerative medicine, and traumatic brain injuries.
Maureen Hilsenrad, MSN, APRN
Maureen is a dynamic, quality-minded registered Nurse Practitioner in KY & IN and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse practitioners and American Nurses Credentialing Corporation. Maureen leverages 14 years of experience and extensive knowledge of Pain Management, Rehabilitation, Internal Medicine, Wound Care, and various long-term care scenarios. Maureen earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and her Masters of Science as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from the University of Louisville and member of the National Honor Society of Nursing.
Kristin Larson, MS, Speech-Language Pathologist
Kristin Larson is a licensed speech-language pathologist with 12 years of experience, with a focus in the evaluation and treatment of patients with acquired brain injuries. She has a Master of Science Degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Louisville. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Kristin has an interest in all things neurocognitive and a passion for helping others overcome their challenges and regain thecognitive-linguistic skills that allow us to effectively communicate.
Kathy Weems, Office Manager
Kathy is the Office Manager of Kentucky Pain Associates managing the Front Office, Clinical Staff, Back Office, and Referral Source Relations. Since 2009, Kathy has worked in all aspects of a medical practice including Billing, Collections, Medical Records, Marketing, and Management. Prior to working with KPA, Kathy worked in Financial Services for 15 years. She worked 3 years at American Capital on the Trading Desk in Houston, TX. She worked for 2 years with Smith Barney in Dallas, TX and then 10 years with Smith Barney in Louisville, KY. Kathy is a graduate from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Merchandising.
Kurt Reibling, COO
Kurt is the Chief Operating Officer of Kentucky Pain Associates overseeing all Operations, Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, and Clinical Services. Since 2009, Kurt has owned medical businesses or provided physician management services in the Louisville area. Prior to 2009, Kurt provided Merger, Acquisition and Business Start-Up services for entrepreneurs throughout the Midwestern and Southeastern regions. Kurt is a graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology (R.I.T.) with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and earned his M.B.A. through Xavier University in Cincinnati. During his career at IBM, Kurt had the opportunity to gain vast Executive Management experience in Human Resources, Operations, Facilities Design & Construction, Accounting, Plant Maintenance, Distribution, Strategic Planning, and Telecommunications, Marketing, and Sales.
